Blanket/ lapghan thingy!

For my next project I Have decided to make this lapghan.  I'm using this Red Heart pattern.  http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/knit-lapghan  I hope I'm not the only one who gets confused with all the different terms like: afghan, lapghan, throws, etc. They all look like blankets to me. I guess I can't really tell a difference?

Materials: RED HEART® Super Saver®: 2 skeins each of 313 Aran, A, 382 Country Blue B and 380                       Windsor Blue C
Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 5 mm [US 8]
(I got this straight from the pattern)

Instead of the colors they picked for the lapghan I picked the colors Camouflage, Claret, and Warm Brown.

If you want to make this yourself you can just click the link I gave above and It will take you straight to the free pattern.

I will post a picture as soon as I am finished with it! :)

Crocheted Two Colored Infinity Scarf

So I have been knitting and crocheting a ton of stuff in the past couple of months and my bff has been wanting me to make her something for a long time and me being easily distracted I have completely forgot about making her something!!
SOOO I figure now is the appropriate time to make her something while she is in town for winter break!

I have decided to make her an infinity scarf. Since I have found that for me crocheting is a lot faster than knitting I have decided to knit her one.

This picture is kind is kind of blurry but you get the idea of the pattern I am making.

I am making it this burgundy-ish color and white.

Materials: Crochet hook size N - 9.00mm
Red Heart Super Saver of the color Claret
Red Heart Super Saver of the color White
A pair of scissors and a tapestry needle

Getting started: You can choose and width you want for mine I chose a thicker width.

                            Ch 20
Row 1: Dc into the second chain from the hook, dc across, ch 2 and turn work
Row 2: Dc across until last st, You are going to add the next color (white) to your work if you do not know how to add color check out this video:
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6979knxSLKM
Ch 2 after you add color, turn work
Row 3: Dc across row and do the same thing as row 2 to change back to the burgundy-ish color, ch 2 turn work
Repeat rows 1-3 until you have gotten your desired length. Then sew ends together to form infinity scarf.

I would have liked to have made this probably a little bit longer but it will be perfect for my friend!

Hope you enjoy!
